Thots of Chris
I never thought I will ever write a blog. Who will read it? What motivated me was after watching "Julie and Julia". I hope my thoughs and reflections will inspire you in this journey of life.

A Reminder
Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

Upsetting People
Today, I think I made someone really upset with me. But it was my objective. Funny? You know sometimes, the best thing to do for someone is to upset them.

Journey of The Youth Olympic Flame
When I saw Thaddeus running for the Torch of The Youth Olympic Flame, there was a sense of pride in me, and also gratitude. I thank God for taking care of him, for being with him all these years. He has been blessed with a good school and God has given him many opportunities to excel, in his swimming, in captaining his school basketball team, in being his school's head prefect and many more. I just can't thank God enough for showing grace and mercy to me.

Be kind, show grace
About 2 weeks ago, on my SQ flight back to Singapore from Vietnam, there were a lot of Vietnamese on the plane. I saw a fellow Singaporean woman who was visibly irritated by a Vietnamese man. Granted, they were not exactly likeble. They spoke loudly, and I could see that many seldom fly on a plane. But I was really embarrassed by how this lady belittled these Vietnamese. I was reminded by God to be humble, to be kind and to show grace. We are Singaporeans not by choice, but by God's grace. In fact, we are blessed with wealth, education and everything else because of God's grace. We truly deserved nothing. These Vietnamese have gone through so much to be where they are today. Suddenly, I felt compassion towards them. I thank God for that reminder.
